The European Power Supply Manufacturers Association (EPSMA) is pleased to announce the publication of the second guideline document for power supplies - Requirements for power supplies intended to be used in hazardous locations. This document has been drawn up by the EPSMA's expert technical committee with the project leader from Siemens. The guideline illustrates the specialities required by a development engineer for the design and application of power supplies in hazardous environments.

The EPSMA will continue its series of safety guidelines for power supplies which will be published in the upcoming months.
